About the IEEI

The Institute for Engineering Education and Innovation (IEEI) is a Texas A&M University (TAMU) College of Engineering and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) joint center that engages in research and professional development to advance the practice of Engineering Education. The Institute creates, synthesizes, and disseminates research leading to the development of engineering learning environments that are inclusive and transformative for both students and educators. IEEI’s role is to improve the quality and impact of TAMU’s Engineering Education research and provide opportunities for faculty to innovate in their classrooms.

2022 Impact Report

In 2021, IEEI created new opportunities for our faculty and students to collaborate with and learn from researchers and experts worldwide.
We have initiated several new projects and collaborations with Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) and Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Our book discussion club has allowed faculty and staff to learn and share their experiences to improve inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility on our campus. We taught first-year students how to lead with their strengths and work as a team. Our community of engineering education professionals has done so much this year, and we look forward to doing more in the years to come!
