The principal purpose of forming this group is to provide a collaborative structure for faculty of Texas A&M University who have interests in research and innovation for engineering, engineering technology, and computer science education. The collaborations will be primarily in education research, curricular and pedagogical innovations, professional development, and mentoring of current and future scholars in education in these fields.
At this time, existing degrees at Texas A&M University, predominantly the Interdisciplinary Masters and Doctoral degrees (currently administered by Director Timothy Jacobs), and the Bachelor degree in Multidisciplinary Technology (administered by the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution) will be the programs used by this group for degree-seeking students as they advise in the engineering education areas.
