Dale Cope, Associate Professor of Practice, Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University received the Aggie Club of Engineers Professor of Excellence Award recently.
The Aggie Club of Engineers (ACE) brings together student leaders from all levels and Engineering fields to promote success and improve Aggieland. The ACE was founded on the idea of not just academic development but also character development. Dale Cope was awarded the Professor of Excellence Award based on his contributions to the development of his student and his department as a whole.
Dale Cope says, ”As an instructor, it is always nice to be recognized by your colleagues or boss for doing a good job. However, it always means so much more when it comes from the students that you teach. More than a sense of accomplishment, it is a sense of “making a difference” that the students recognize the effort that we put forth for their education. I am privileged to have had the opportunity to teach so many Aggie engineers (2,912 and counting) in my five years with the Mechanical Engineering, and I am humbled to receive this recognition from the Aggie Club of Engineers.”
