Texas A&M University’s Institute for Engineering Education & Innovation is proud to announce that one of its Engineering Education Faculty Group Members, Kristi Shryock from the Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering in the College of Engineering, has been named a 2023 Distinguished Achievement Honoree by the Association Of Former Students. This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated the highest levels of excellence at Texas A&M University.
The Distinguished Achievement Awards have a long-standing tradition of honoring faculty and staff members at Texas A&M University who have demonstrated exceptional levels of excellence in their respective fields. The awards recognize outstanding contributions in teaching, research, student engagement, graduate mentoring, administration, staff, and extension/outreach/continuing education/professional development. The selection process for the award is highly competitive and involves a campus-wide committee of faculty, staff, students, and former students, making it a prestigious honor for the recipients.
Kristi Shryock is among the 25 honorees selected for the award in 2023. She is recognized for her outstanding contributions in the field of Engineering Education, and for her commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. Shryock has made significant contributions to the College of Engineering at Texas A&M University, including leading academic initiatives in two departments and directing the largest Engineering Honors program in the nation. She has also received several awards in Engineering Education for her successful efforts.
The awards ceremony luncheon honoring the 2023 Distinguished Achievement Honorees will be held on April 24 at the MSC Bethancourt Ballroom. The ceremony is a celebration of the remarkable achievements of the honorees and their contributions to Texas A&M University. It is an opportunity for the university community to recognize and honor these exceptional individuals and to thank them for their contributions to the university.
