We are excited to announce that Rachelle Pedersen has won the Office of the Vice President for Research’s Excellence in Research Award at Texas A&M University! Rachelle was the graduate student selected for the oral presentations out of all graduate presenters during the Graduate and Professional Student Council’s Student Research Week.
The Excellence in Research Award recognizes outstanding graduate students who have demonstrated exceptional levels of research excellence, innovation, and creativity in their fields of study. Rachelle’s presentation stood out among her peers and was recognized as exemplary work.
Rachelle is a Ph.D. Student in Curriculum & Instruction and her research is focused on motivation and social influences that support underrepresented students in STEM fields. In addition to her research, she is also the Outreach Chair for the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program at Texas A&M where she coordinates in-person and virtual STEM programs, bridging the gap between K-12 and colleges.
We are incredibly proud of Rachelle’s achievement and recognition. Winning this award is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent.
